Filipino delicacies have always been famous among tourists, foreigners and even in other countries. I have spoken to some of my students who were able to visit our country and they say a lot of good things about the Philippines particularly our  food. We have to admit we love eating! From street food to fast food, from casual dining to buffet, you name it we have them all!

Here are some of my favorite Filipino dishes  that are just so delicious I cannot get enough of them ♥

1. Tinola 
My most fave type of "ulam" which my mummy used to make for me now I do make it myself. I  can eat 2-3 plates of my own tinola ahahaha. This a filipino chicken stew with different vegetables added. It is a very healthy dish.

2.Kare-kare
I used to hate this but now it is one of my favorite :)A filipino dish with ground peanut as the main soup and anchovy as the side dish. I love the peanut sauce that blends with the saltiness of "bagoong". I prefer for the vegetables to be halfcooked.

3. Ginataang bilo-bilo
One of my fave "mirienda" in the afternoon. I remember my childhood days when I eat this. The sweetness and stickiness of the sticky rice that was molded into ball that blends with thickness of coconut milk is just mouthe watering

4. Tokneneng
Who would forget about these orange balls that can be seen almost everywhere on the street? One of my favorite street food that will always be an all time favorite among urbanistas and students :D. Quail egg that was battered in a colorful orange flour and deep fried. "Sukang maanghang" is the perfect partner for tokneneng!

5.Creamy chicken sopas
My all time favorite to eat when monsoon season arrives! A typical filipino dish that can be smelt in any houses during the rainy season. elbow macaroni that was boiled with  milk , meat and lotsa vegetables. Its very nutritious too :)

Some Filipino dishes require skill and experience so you can make them into perfection. If you can make a Filipino dish, you should be proud!  you have the skill! and what better way for you to boast for it? Of course uploading it into social media.

 I myself love taking pictures of all the dishes I made. I am proud that I can make them even after trying countless times :D Taking good pictures are also part of it. Here are some of the pictures of some of the dishes I've made:

There is always what we call a rule of thumb when you travel, and that is having your own travel essentials. These are the things that you need whilst travelling. For today's post I will talk about my top 8 travel essentials. 

1. Cash and credit cards
One of the most important things when you travel is bringing your cash and credit cards. Having extra cash aside from your budget money is also important in case of emergency. Credit cards are also useful if you don't want to bring money with you.

2. Clothes
Bringing clothes are a must to anyone who are planning to travel. Clothes will depend on your destination for example if you're going to go to the beach, bringing summer clothes and swimsuit are very much recommended. If you're going on a Baguio trip it's recommended to bring sweatshirt, jacket and scarf. One of the things that I've learnt is to always be prepared on any occasion so I often bring 3 types of clothes such as casual clothes, business/formal clothes and dress attire. Remember it's always better to be prepared.

3. Lotion and moisturizer 
Another travel essential that I always bring whenever I go traveling are lotions and moisturizer. Since I easily attract different types of insects I always bring repellent lotion everywhere I go. I also bring sunscreen lotion with me so that I'm always protected from the sun especially when it's summer. I bring moisturizer for my face to make my skin smooth and non-dry


4.Sneakers and Slippers
Bringing slippers are also important especially if you will be on vacation for a few days. I like bringing my own slippers because I feel comfortable using them than shoes. I also bring extra sneakers with me just in case I need to walk for a longer period of time. 

5. Make up kit
Every woman has this as one of  her travel essentials. I always bring the following: lipstick, blush on, eyebrow gel and eyeliner. I can leave everything except for this. :) 

6. Books
One of the things  I like to do is reading books. Bringing a couple of books with me is also one of my travel essentials to make sure that I won't get bored if in case traveling time will be longer.

7. Powerbank and chargers
Powerbank is an important travel essential especially when you will be gone for a few days. This is to make sure that you won't have any problem getting your gadget's battery drained. Chargers are also important so you can charge your gadget.

8. Camera and phone
Camera and phone are the two most important travel essentials to bring with you when you plan to go somewhere for a few days. Bringing a camera is very important for me so I can capture all those precious moments and beautiful scenery. Phone is an essential gadget so I can communicate with my family while I am away  so that  they won't get worried.

The Philippines is an archipelago that boasts 7,107 islands. It is known to have some of the best beaches in the world. Many water sports enthusiast and divers visit our country to experience the expectacular beauty of our mother land. With all the clear and blue water surrounding the country and as a Filipino I am very proud to have born and raised here. However just like others I am quite unfortunate to not have the time to explore our native land. But that doesn't mean I have never thought of doing it! In fact I have started thinking of the places I would love to visit.

Maldives of the Philippines
The no. 1 favorite destination I am keen on visiting is the place that is labeled as the "Maldives of the Philippines", Manjuyod Sandbar (also known as sumapao shoal) that is located in Negros oriental Dumaguete. It is a 7 km long strip of sandbar in the center of  North Bais Bay.

This place is such a paradise, and I think that visiting this at least once in your life is a must. I love how the water is glittering as it shines under the sun. A crystal clear water..so clear that it looks pristine. Just looking at the pictures makes me fall in love with the place.

What makes it more interesting for me is that It offers the finest white sand that can only be seen during low tide and during high tide cottages that are built in the center can be seen as floating. It feels very magical and surreal to me that this kind of island exist. Mother nature made it this way and I am hoping that it would never change.

Manjuyod sandbar is surrounded by nothing but water and this makes the place so romantic and out of this world. I believe this is a perfect place to be if you're looking for an unforgettable experience away from the city life.

Having said that, we need to make sure that we are well prepared when we go on vacation especially to a place like Manjuyod Sandbar. We do not go on vacation often times  so why not make the most out of it? Have fun, do crazy things and make lots and lots of memories ♥In doing so we need to prepare important things especially our cameras so we can take photos and capture all those unforgettable moments we will have.
A perfect way to capture escapades & adventures

"I will come back" I remember uttering these words in my head while looking at the island  of  Puerto Galera  seated on  the boat that would bring us back to where we came from..

As a  woman who was raised from the city, Puerto Galera is a place where I found the tranquility and the inner peace I was looking for. This is where I spent my 3 unforgettable days and 2 of the happiest night of my life.

I remember the first time I saw the shining sand and how my reactions was when my feet sank into it. It was the first time experiencing something like this.

I remember how the ocean wind blew on my face and made me shiver and the salty smell of the sea, it was something new it was something refreshing for me.

I remember the crystal clear water.. so clear  that I was really amazed it felt surreal.

I remember how the sunset made me reminisce all the things I've done in my life and suddenly not caring about whatever problems I've had.

I literally felt connected to mother earth and thinking it must be nice to be here forever. If only I could...

So If you would ask me, Puerto Galera is one of my favourite holiday getaway destinations. I definitely would love to come back again and Do the things I've never done on my first visit... Explore places I have never explored and see things I have never seen during my previous stay and of course make  more precious memories with my love ones. 

And what better way to capture memories? Taking photos and videos of course. ♥♥♥ Pictures and videos are the best way to seize the precious moments and  to have something to look back to with all those adventures and escapades you've done.

When taking a perfect selfie, filters are among the things you need to consider. You often find yourself checking which one to use for a certain mood or certain environments. Oppo offers different types of filters that are very useful no matter what mood or environment you'll be. So taking selfie has never been easy.


What Oppo F1S Filter would you probably use?
I love taking selfie with different filters. As much as possible I try to use all the ones that are available on my current phone so I could check which ones would suit me on that day.

The one I always find myself using is the mono filter. So If I was given a chance to have an Oppo f1s I would probably use the mono filter. Since its black and white it tends to cover all the fine lines and wrinkles I have. It often gives me a very stunning results as well no matter where I take my selfies or pictures.
