Delicious food can only be found in restaurants who have long histories and traditions. That is what Little Quiapo is all about. This restaurant has been serving food since 1949 and has continue to serve some of the best Filipino food in the industry.

History
Little Quiapo known to their customers, was first established in 1949 by Irenio Bartoleme a humble ice cream vendor who hailed from Pampanga. After saving up enough money he established a small eatery located in UP Diliman and was given a name of "Rendevouz". However this name didn't last long and was then changed to Little Quiapo when one of their customers made a remark that the place looked like Quiapo because of the many customers they have.

Since then the restaurant has evolved and has provided many delicious and gastronomic food toward their customers. It is also one of the 10 oldies restaurants that is still operating in the country.

The Place
They currently have 2 branches one located in Quezon City and the other One in BF Paranaque. I was able to visit the branch in Paranaque last May 3 2017. The place looks cozy and family oriented. It definitely has the aura of an eatery who are loved by their loyal customers.

The Food
They offer authentic Filipino dishes. Here are some of my favorite

Kare-Kare
one of the best Kare-Kare I have ever tasted.I am not kidding here! They offer Sumptuous Serving that can  cater one whole family for the price of PHP387. The sauce was thick the "bagoong" was also verrry very yummy. I have heard that they grind their own peanuts and make their own bagoong

Blue Marlin Salpicao
I am not a fan of fish  but boy this dish was  the bomb. I just love how the taste blended well. It has the tangy taste I really love and the fish was cooked just about right. The vegetables gave a refreshing taste as well, in short the whole dish was yummy! The price for this is PHP350

The sizzling Spare ribs! the meat was delicious and the gravy sauce was the perfect combination. I love meat but this one was my least favorite because nobody can top their kare- kare and  blue marlin salpicao for me! =D

Palabok
The palabok is sooo good. It is way better than their competitors both in taste and price. One of the best sellers. And its worthy! The reason why its not on the top of my list is because I am not into palabok but I can definitely say that they offer one of the best palabok in the market.

,

Last April 1, 2017 I was invited to experience a relaxing and pampering Saturday ♥. It was a good experience so today my post is about how I spent my April fools day.
I was fortunate enough to experience a day of pampering thanks to Engineer Emilie Ronquillo the owner of Stairway Cafe as well as E&W Salon and spa.
Stairway Cafe and Salon

Stairway Cafe & Salon offers different beverages and Food. I was able taste some of the food they offer. Check them out below!

So what's so good about this cafe? They offer sumptuous food and  mouth watering beverages all affordable prices! Staff are very friendly too :)

After eating some delicious food, we then visited E&W salon & spa located in Centennial Road. It is a heaven's place for any woman! A combination of salon and spa where you can get yourself pampered from head to toe and a place where you can buy trendy and fashionable clothes all in one place ♥
My experience
The first venue we went to was the stairway cafe. The ambiance of the place is very warm and staff are very friendly.  The place itself is very comfy since seats are made to feel you very comfortable. Pillows are everywhere! and no need to ask for the password for wi-fi its already plastered on every corner. They offered different types of food as you can see on the top with all the pictures. One of the things I like about stairway cafe is the tea they offer. I like tea and they have different variants :) Food they offer are very affordable and they are not "tipid" Its a very a good place to be with friends and family.

E&W Salon and spa pampered us from head to toe :) I got the foot spa with manicure and pedicure package and I got my hair colored! It was are really nice and their service is very customer oriented. The staff are very friendly too. I love the result of my hair! They also offer the  facial massage and  body massage. I would love to try them one day♥

It was a relaxing Saturday for me :) I had so much fun! Staff were just friendly and  very accommodating.

Pampering Day with co- bloggers
The house of OOTD offers affordable clothes and apparels. They have a lot trendy and fashionable clothes. I could not help buying at least one dress :) ( I will try to add my OOTD once I wear it I promise!) If you're in the area try to check out their clothes.

How it all began
Engineer Emilie Ronquillo has started from a very humble beginning. A woman who grew up from nothing to a successful business woman thanks to her precious and loving mother who worked hard selling her famous "suman sa lihiya and sumang matamis" to let her children finished their studies.

Ms. Emilie Ronquillo started venturing to business and was successful in establishing her first salon E&W salon. Later she was able to expand it and made it into salon and spa.Being successful on her first business she saw another opportunity to expand, and established another salon this time with the help of her children's idea the simple salon that she planned to open became the stairway cafe and salon we know today.

As a successful business woman she is, she has not forgotten where she came and doesn't forget to give back to the community by giving job opportunities for within their ministry and community and by doing a feeding program to lesser family somewhere in Cavite.

I admire how she was able to make a name of herself from nothing. Her dedication and love to her family is immeasurable. Despite being a successful woman that she is, she never forgets and make sure she can help what ever way she can. I sure hope you become successful in everything you do since you deserve whatever you have now.

If you're anywhere near kawit Cavite do not forget to visit stairway cafe and drop by  E &W salon and spa  & house of ootd♥

Filipino delicacies have always been famous among tourists, foreigners and even in other countries. I have spoken to some of my students who were able to visit our country and they say a lot of good things about the Philippines particularly our  food. We have to admit we love eating! From street food to fast food, from casual dining to buffet, you name it we have them all!

Here are some of my favorite Filipino dishes  that are just so delicious I cannot get enough of them ♥

1. Tinola
My most fave type of "ulam" which my mummy used to make for me now I do make it myself. I  can eat 2-3 plates of my own tinola ahahaha. This a filipino chicken stew with different vegetables added. It is a very healthy dish.

2.Kare-kare
I used to hate this but now it is one of my favorite :)A filipino dish with ground peanut as the main soup and anchovy as the side dish. I love the peanut sauce that blends with the saltiness of "bagoong". I prefer for the vegetables to be halfcooked.

3. Ginataang bilo-bilo
One of my fave "mirienda" in the afternoon. I remember my childhood days when I eat this. The sweetness and stickiness of the sticky rice that was molded into ball that blends with thickness of coconut milk is just mouthe watering

4. Tokneneng
Who would forget about these orange balls that can be seen almost everywhere on the street? One of my favorite street food that will always be an all time favorite among urbanistas and students :D. Quail egg that was battered in a colorful orange flour and deep fried. "Sukang maanghang" is the perfect partner for tokneneng!

5.Creamy chicken sopas
My all time favorite to eat when monsoon season arrives! A typical filipino dish that can be smelt in any houses during the rainy season. elbow macaroni that was boiled with  milk , meat and lotsa vegetables. Its very nutritious too :)

Some Filipino dishes require skill and experience so you can make them into perfection. If you can make a Filipino dish, you should be proud!  you have the skill! and what better way for you to boast for it? Of course uploading it into social media.

I myself love taking pictures of all the dishes I made. I am proud that I can make them even after trying countless times :D Taking good pictures are also part of it. Here are some of the pictures of some of the dishes I've made:

Kare Kare
The pictures I got from google are way better from the ones I took. Having a good camera so you can proudly post of your cooking is very important. Oppo F1s offers one of the best selfie cameras out there. It has been branded as the "selfie expert" with all the camera features it has.

I believe that OPPO F1s is the best camera phone to use for food photography because it currently  offers  the best  features of phone camera in the market.

A 16mp front camera that can take the clearest selfie and a 13mp rear camera that can definitely take vivid and clear pictures of your food. With its night shot feature you do not have to worry about taking pictures of your food even at night. It will definitely capture the best photos even during night time. Filters are readily available as well so you can take your food photography to next level.
