Last November 13, 2016 I was invited to the first Philippine tattoo community color fun run organized by street wise events management & public relations. We had the opportunity to experience this colorful marathon. This fun run aims to eradicate the stigma we have for those people who chose to get themselves inked and see it as a form of self expression and art.

Where was it held?
It was held in Roxas blvd. Along bay walk and and across from Raja Sulayman Parking
Which category did you participate?
Since I am such a girl, My handsome boyfie did the runnin for me :D, He participated in the 3km run.
Arrival
We've arrived at about 4:30AM and You would easily noticed the venue since music and people are gathering there. The first thing that we did was to get our race kit since we weren't able to get it in advanced.
Before the marathon began, we had an opening ceremony, we prayed and sang the national anthem and even did some basic stretch up! We also had the opportunity to meet some of most well known and considered as masters in the tattoo industry here in the Philippines.

Marathon
After stretching they were asked to get themselves ready. And few minutes after the race began.

Since we only participated on the 3km run, my boyfriend came back after 18 minutes. Very proud of him since he was the second or third to finished the line. ♥

Entertainment was provided for us while waiting for the marathon to finished. Bands started playing and we were also asked to go and get our loot bag

Raffle prizes
Raffle prizes were also given during the interlude. Lucky for those who were given prizes like PHP 2000 worth of GC for tatooes :)

Before the event ended we also had the colorful powder splashed on to us what a great way to finish the event!

♥I thought the event was really organized. they have provided their own portable toilet.
♥They also provided water for the runners which were readily available.
♥Medical team were on stand by during the event and ambulances were also readily available. A special Area for medical team was also given.
♥there were also some medical staff who were following the runners during the marathon.

♥The venue had their own baggage counter where you can leave your bag. There were people monitoring the area to ensure that all bags were safe. While waiting I overheard one of the organizers directing the staff who were looking after the bags to ensure that the back area was closed so no one or nobody could enter or pass ( since it was open at the start). I thought that was a very responsible action of the management for they really cared about our belongings.
What do you like the least during the event?
♥ I thought the event was a success and I did not see any negative about it. The only thing that I would say was negative for me was that some of the winners of their major raffles were children. Maybe 10 yrs below? I thought that winning prize worth PHP 2000 pesos GC for tattoo was not appropriate for them. Perhaps for the next event separate the raffle for kids.
Would you recommend it to others?
Definitely! It was very organized and it was a success as far as I'm concern. I am looking forward for the 2017 burdado run!
